When I moved here I settled in Roswell, which I thought at the time was a little too suburban....though child care and schools were a priority to me. Everyone told me I would have been happier living by the square in Decatur -- which I think would have been true if I didn't have a young child. It's pedestrian-friendly and cosmopolitan with cool shops and restaurants. If you can afford living in Atlanta-proper (midtown, Buckhead and those areas) you'll probably like that, too. If you need to save money, look into Smyrna. You'll need a car, but there are a lot of professional single women living there and the town has nice amenities: the community center (with a free gym), concerts, a super library... As I'd tell anyone contemplating a move: visit before you decide where to live. Each neighborhood has its own flavor and merits. You'll see what you're drawn to!

Midtown area of Atlanta is a great place for single professional to live. Ponce Highland area, East Atlanta Village, Little Five Points, any of the small downtown neighborhoods are hip, eclectic and cool.

just visit the downtown scenery once you do that you should run into many things like the underground, Philips Arena and also the Georgia Dome if that aint good enough for you and you wanna catch a movie or something then visit Atlantic station..and if you want to see how the animals look we have a zoo and aquarium you could stop by..its plenty to do down here no reason to be bored unless your just straight out broke.
