Do people who live in Georgia (the state) have accents?
I have a report about Georgia the state, and I was wondering do they have accents?

YES! some people can't understand us it depends which part of georgia you go to because then the accent might not be as heavy

if you ask someone from Georgia they will tell you that everyone else has an accent

yeah really cool isn't it. They got what you call a high tider accent.You know really deep and stuff not like a redneck voice but still the same lingo.

it depends where you live. if you live somewhere else, yo could say that they have an accent. if you live in georgia or somehwere nearby, you could say they dont. it depends on what kind of accent YOU have. everyone has one. i would say that they pobably have a southern accent. but nto everyone. you cant make generalizations

well...i live in north east georgia....and i have freinds that are from here and have been living here all their lives...but they talk like they are from boston....my accent isnt totally drawn out...i say yall...but thats about it...i have a friend who you cant really tell what she's saying....shes smart enough to talk right...but to dumb to....

Yes, of course, we all have some accent or another... depending on who's listening to us. Those living in Georgia have a somewhat slow, southern accent.. but not necessarily a drawl.

Accents are a regional thing. If you are from NY, you probably think that those from Georgia have an accent. But those that live in Georgia think you have one. I live in southern Indiana and a friend of mine from Michigan think I have a southern accent, but my family in Texas think I have a northern accent. See how funny that is!

I live in Georgia, born and raised. I like to think that most of us don't have an accent, but I worked for a telemarketing company once and we received calls from all over the country and one time a lady from another state, I don't remember where, but she ask were we located in Georgia and she said because of my voice, she could tell.
