Im 17 and live in Georgia can i legally walk out of my house when i want without parental consent?
Ive seen many different sides so if you could explains the laws involved id preciate.

yes you're a legal adult, however by law you have to attend school until you're 18 so if you walk out, you'd better have a place to go until you're 18 (if you're just leaving for a minute, might want to think of the consequences concerning your parents - they may kick you out) and be able to support yourself.

I think that you would be under your parents authority until you turn 18. If you really want to know why don't you ask the local police department or a lawyer. They would be better able to give you information on your state's laws. (Remember that Muslim girl who doesn't want to live with her parents because she is afraid that they will kill her? Well she's still in foster care and her case is still in the courts because she is still a minor under the law. You'd better check out the law before you antagonize your parents unless you are up to supporting yourself somewhere else.)
