file where you live, uncontested.
2 :
get a lawyer and start proceedings...
3 :
hire the lawyer, and get it started! good luck

You probably need to file in the state where you both have a record of living and maybe living together. Have fun and remember that a prenup is worth EVERYTHING to a guy since getting married a guy looses EVERYTHING!

How about any sports bar? To they have those in Atlanta?

We prefer not to have the distractions of doing it in a public place. Rent a nice Hotel Suite, with some food and Liquor, and go out afterwards for the celebration and the jumpoff of the smacktalk for the season!

depends on more specific information. Was the debt inccured six years ago? If so, were you making payments for awhile? The statute of limitations "clock" starts ticking when you become delinquent, NOT when you incur the debt. So if you got into debt six years ago, and you made some payments for a year - then the statute clock is only 5 years, and they haven't run out of time. If you think you're legally in the right - you may need a lawyer to get you out of it, or fight it.
2 :
talk to a lawyer to see what the legal issues are. This lawyer might be trying to bluff you. How old is the judgment?
3 :
I agree with cat, as long as the judgment was secured before the S.O.L. ran out they can garnish.
4 :
According to the link below, the statute of limitations to COLLECT on a judgment is 7 years. Are you certain you are looking at the correct statue of limitations?
5 :
If they got a judgement, then the statute of limitations doesn't even come into play. The statute of limitations is how long they have to get the judgement.
6 :
I would contact a different lawyer and ask what your options are. This has always been a good place to find good representation. http://www.localgeorgiaattorneys.com/Category/Consumer-Protection/ Sometimes they'll give you advice free of charge too. I hope this helps.
