If I live in South Carolina, can I go to Georgia to become emancipated and then continue to live in Georgia

If I live in South Carolina, can I go to Georgia to become emancipated and then continue to live in Georgia?
I'm 15, and I just cannot live at home anymore and I am just out of options. Whatever answers you can give me would help. Thank you.

You would have to establish a legal residence in GA first. I'm so not feeling your parents buying into that.
2 :
No. You live in SC,that is the state you have to petition in. Do you have a full time job with enough income to support yourself completely on your own? If the answer is no,you have zero chance at emancipation in any state.
3 :
You would have to file in South Carolina. Also you would have to show legitamite proof of why you want to be emancipated, proof of a current job that the income is suffiecient enough to support yourself, and a place to live.

How could I qualify for in-state tuition in California if I live in Georgia

How could I qualify for in-state tuition in California if I live in Georgia?
I've heard there are a variety of ways to do this, but is it really possible to qualify for in-state tuition in a different state? OH! Also I have family living in California. Does that help?

Do you have any friends or relatives in CA? In-state tuition is sort of contingent on that. If so, send them a piece of mail to yourself at their address and have them hold it for you. Also, this is kinda drastic but if you put one of their utilities in your name then that would also count as proof. You need two simple forms and these are the ones that I've used in the past. It saves thousands so pull out all the stops.
2 :
Ask your counselors and or financial aid advisers, they should have all the answers that you may looking for.
3 :
The first answer is not correct. You have to live there for a year (2 in some states) before applying to any college in that state. But it is much more complicated. There are certain reasons why you can be in the state to count. Moving in with a friend will not count. It has to be a military move, whole family move, or move for full time work. You will have to prove that you have maintained a domain for at least a year. So one utility bill is not going to cut it. If your whole family is moving you don't have to do anything, but if you are moving by yourself you will have to hold a full time job and have paid taxes at least once. They put these very rigid regulations in places so students (not unlike yourself) cannot cheat them out of money. There are three categories of domicile maintaining proof, if you have your lease and all 12 months of utility bills with your name and that address that's it. Or a drivers license and those utility bills etc. So basically no unless you can get a job and move there, and afford to work there for a year, then apply for college.

Short answer : You have to be a resident of California. How do you do that? By living there for exactly a year. Another state won't fund you because quite frankly, you weren't a resident.

If you are speaking of the Appalachian Trail..about a hour outside Blairsville near the NC border is the starting point....if you are a experienced hiker and fit. If not. I would suggest you get a weight vest and try walking around and up Stone Mountain. It will build up your endurance and get you a bit used to nature.
2 :
If you're in good shape then start with getting the equipment. www.backpacker.com has good reviews on equipment to help you narrow your choices, and then spend a lot of time in your local outfitter stores trying on packs and boots. Hopefully the outfitters will no of some groups to talk with about equipment and locales and maybe even places to rent equipment so you can get a feel for them before purchasing. Some outfitters have a day a week for customers to come in and listen to 'experts' talk about gear and then let you set up and tear down the gear - very valuable info/experience to be had. Once you've chosen a pack load it with 35-40 lbs and walk around with, have the clerk help you adjust it to your frame/size. Make sure it's comfortable and fits you with the weight - very important. When you've bought your pack now load it with half your gear and start walking around - this will tell you how good of shape you are really in - slowly add weight/gear to the pack until fully loaded while lengthening the distance you walk until you can do 10-12 miles in your pack without difficulty. I know this sounds tedious and boring but so many people jump into camping without proper prep and they hate their first experience so much they don't go back. Good luck, and have fun!

What's a good place to live in Georgia

What's a good place to live in Georgia?
I want to live in Georgia. I'm thinking about living on the outskirts of Atlanta. I know traffic can be horrible. But, I don't care traffic is in all major cities. I want some place with low crime, good places to live and good colleges. I know crime is everywhere.

Move to the Macon or Savannah Georgia.... Atlanta is a bustling city if you can't deal with the bustle then.. i dont know what to tell you. Live by good colleges? The good colleges are downtown dude.. right in the heart of the city.
2 :
Depending on how much you plan to spend on a home, Northwest Atlanta (Smyrna, Marietta, even Kennesaw) is a nice place to live. That area is lower crime than the rest of the city and I-75 gets much less traffic than I-85 or GA-400. In terms of colleges, Kennesaw State and Southern Poly are both very good schools in that area and you can get to Georgia Tech and Georgia State in under 20 minutes (it's a good 30-45 minutes to Emory).
3 :
Stay on the northside of the city, look at Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Alpharetta. Yes, there is traffic in every big city, but Atlanta is 3rd behind LA & DC in the worst traffic in the US.
4 :
All the "good" colleges are either in the heart of Atlanta or further south. I would recommend the Gainesville area. It's a good distance from both Athens and Atlanta, the crime rate is relatively low, and there is a lot to do while still having a small town feel.
5 :
All of the northern suburbs of Atlanta offer what you are looking for. Marietta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, John's Creek, Alpharetta, Duluth, Lawrenceville to name just a few.
6 :
Alpharetta, Georgia.
7 :
Click onto wsbtv.com and read the news and the crime reports.
8 :
You definitely will want to stay on the northside of the city instead of the southside.
