How old does a child have to be to choose with parent they want to live in georgia

How old does a child have to be to choose with parent they want to live in georgia?
My parents went to court a couple of years ago.... my dad got custody... i want to live with my mom but i dnt know how old i have to be to choose .... i no it depends on which state you live in... i live in georgia

I think that if you can say I want to live with my mom then you should be allowed, but I doubt that your dad will give up custody.

i think its 16, but the judge would take ur opinion in2 account if u let them know now

I just spoke to a lawyer this week. The age is 14 at the youngest and then the judge will only take it in consideration. There still a chance that custody will change. Talk to Your parents and try to work something out.
