I live in Atlanta Georgia and im moving to Newyork. My house is under Contract with a buyer.Do i have to stay here in Georgia until the house is sold at closing or can i just leave? Can a closing be done by my agent if my signature is faxed? Is this risky?

Out of state closings are common. Documents can be signed by you, in person at a title company or real estate attorney where you are. OR some companies provide a closer who comes to your home or business and helps you sign your part & notarizes your documents.

The title company can either do a courtesy closing at another title office or overnight documents to you. It is a common practice and is not risky.
