I've done my research but I can't seem to investigate with enough detail as to the for sure Age of Consent and Fornication laws. Thanks for the help! Well 16 is the age of consent law in Georgia, however I've heard conflicting information speaking of her being a minor, that it is still illegal.

it really is very disrespectful. her parents have raised her and still have two years with her. why don't you talk to them and see how they feel. it may be legal, but it's also legal for her parents to tell her she can't see you. sometimes it's ok to think of others and be mature about it

I believe in all states you are a minor until the age of 18. So I would say it isn't legal, but in this day and age a lot of couples are minors dating ppl that's 18 or older. So just practice safe sex and don't piss off her parents and you'll be okay.

No, it isn't legal. It's considered statutory rape, even if both parties are consenting and if you two do have sex and she doesn't press statutory charges, if her parents find out, they can press charges without her consent.

A lot of States have a different age of consent. In NY it's 18, and I believe that it may be the same in Georgia. Why don't you call the District Attorney's Office in your city , and tell him that you are writing an article for the School Paper and want to know the age of Consent in Georgia? Or go to a Library and ask the Librarian if there are any books that you can read on Laws in Georgia?
