Either one is fine, as long as there is no snow! I'm getting sick of snow and it's only the 17th day of winter!

I've never visited Georgia, but I'll tell you why I love SLC, Utah. I love how we have all 4 seasons, meaning the cool Spring/Fall great for hiking, biking, and camping, the hot summer great for swimming, and boating, and a snowy winter for the "best snow on Earth" makes for great skiing/snowboarding. I love that so many ski resorts are quickly and easily accessible from Salt Lake. I love how many lakes and hiking trails are not too far of a drive to get to. But most of all I enjoy the diversity of land/terrain you get here: the mountains, the desert and sand dunes, lakes, and even red rock terrain. Other than the ocean, Utah pretty much has it all in one state in my opinion! The only bad thing is that in the winter, Salt Lake City can get terrible inversions meaning the air quality becomes horrible. So if you have sensitivity to that or have health problems you will need a house with air purifiers, but the majority of people don't feel the difference...plus every good storm cleans it out.
