What are nice, safe places to live in Georgia

What are nice, safe places to live in Georgia?
What are some towns or cities that are safe to live and work in Georgia? And whatever city you think, what area in the city is very nice to live?

I've lived and worked in Vinings(in Atlanta) for a couple of years and have never had even a small problem with safety, and its incredibly close and convenient to everything. Dunwoody is also very nice and I think its safe, also very convenient to everything you'd want to do.

Butler/Macon. It's really nice and home town feel but still has places. Or Warner Robins is a bit busier but still nice

St Simons Island, GA It's safe. Neither you nor I can afford to live there. I live in the burbs of Atlanta I live in Woodstock. I don't want to be offensive but...in GA you want to stay away from areas that have high Hispanic or African American Areas (Sorry)! Vinings as someone else said is nice. As a single, that would be a great place to live. As a family, you may go further my way. As for other places in GA. If your not in Atlanta - YOU'RE CAMPING! Come to the Peach State!

Personally, I like Blue Ridge. It is 2 hours north of Atlanta. There are not many jobs in the area, but it is a wonderful small town to live in. Macon is also a great place. It is about and hour and a half from Atlanta.

Marietta, Roswell, Atlanta, Lawrenceville, Augusta, Valdosta, Tifton. All these places are safe. (Except for parts of Atlanta obviously).

Anywhere in Cobb county is very nice. It's a really up and coming city and very close to downtown if you work there. I also like Buford in Gwinnett County. The schools are excellent, the mall of Georgia is there and everything is so nice and new. If you like more of a country atmosphere Walton County is good but kind of far from the city.

Do want country, city or suburb life? East Cobb County is fantastic area, great school system and good commute time to ATL Try the Blue Ridge Mountains area in North GA area. Towns like Dawsonville, Elijay, Dahlonega, and Helen. Beautiful safe area; but hard to find good paying jobs without a long commute (like into ATL or other larger city nearby). Not sure where you are considering moving from; but be pre-pared for HOT humid weather!

I agree with tmh. Blue Ridge, or any of the small towns in the mountains are ideal to me...
