The problem is that you're homesick. Time will help - I love it here. Born n raised!

I think Georgia is as good as it gets...oceans, islands, mountains, lakes, rivers, nature, trees, flowers and green everywhere, history, great cities, great fun, open spaces, parks, great weather, great diverse people

I know what you mean there's no place like home. Ga is great in the winter, no snow and all, but very hot in the summer, and the crime rate is higher here. I'm from Mi. and I go back and forth, summers in Mi winters in Ga. and that works for me.

well i lived in atlanta for 2 years and hated every day of it. but that was just b/c of the weather. oh and cansay, have you ever left georgia, its the worst weather, no ocean, no good beaches, the only good part is the low cost of living

Yes I do live in Ga. and I do love it. I grew up in N.C. but have been back here about 10 years, and have gotten used to it, and now LOVE it here.

I live in the Atlanta area. I like it. But I don't necessarily love it. It will probably be better for you if you get involved. Try volunteering w/ Hands on Atlanta. I did when I first moved here and I had a blast and met new people. Get involved at a church, there are plenty from which to choose. www.handsonatlanta.org

I moved here from Texas and at first its kind of hard to make such a big change but you will get used to it. As soon as you meet new people and get established then itll be easier.

I've lived here my whole life, and I love it! North of Atlanta is the best... little traffic, good neighborhoods, friendly people. What I don't like is the stereotypes... it seems that we're always represented as stupid rednecks, but that's so far from the truth up where I live.
